I took this class, because I will need it for my bachelors degree in nursing. Over the years I have taken several writing type classes or classes requiring a lot of writing. I thought I had learned all there was to learn, and that this class would be just like the others I have taken. Honestly I have to say that throughout this class I have been pleasantly surprised in the fact that I do not know everything there is to know about writing. I have learned many technical writing skills that will help me in the real world. This class taught me the proper setup and format for your resume depended on the type of education you have, your job history, and your skills. I had just assumed that all resumes followed the same standard format. In this class I also learned about grammarly, which I found to be extremely useful. I learned so much about technical writing and how you can use Storify to help create a technical description, which by the way, was my favorite assignment for this class. Finally in doing the research report assignment I got a really good understanding of how to tie everything together that I learned from the entire semester. As a writer my strengths are that my writing is well organized and effective, is well developed, and has good format. My weaknesses with my writing really have to do with the language and mechanics. I tend to be wordy when I write, miss small mistakes from time to time, and sometimes overuse the word I repeatedly. In the future I will make sure to double check and reread my documents and also run my documents through grammarly before submitting.

I feel I deserve to pass this class, because of the time and energy I have put into every assignment that I have done from the beginning to the end of this semester. When it comes to the outcome of writing argumentative and evaluative essays, not only did I complete all the assignments that included these outcomes, but I also earned an A on every one of these assignments. I effectively documented sources using MLA style and using the required number of sources in both my multi-media technical description and in my research project. In all the assignments I completed I utilized effective page design, and always earned full points and positive comments from you regarding my layout. I made sure to analyze and summarize all reading selections, and reflect upon on these assignments.
