Most college students worry about choosing the “right” direction. Many worry even more about changing their minds. At FSW, you are not expected to have everything figured out on day one.

This module introduces how Academic and Career Pathways are designed to support exploration without setting you back. You’ll see how FSW organizes programs, how students narrow choices over time, and how tools like advising and Program Maps help students stay on track—even when plans change.

In this module, you will
• Explore pathways and careers connected to your interests
• Learn how Guided Pathways reduce confusion and excess coursework
• Experience how learning happens inside a Canvas course
• Reflect on how structure and support make college decisions more manageable

Why This Matters

Students who start college with a plan—and adjust it as they learn more—are more likely to stay on track and complete a degree than students who start with no plan at all. Guided Pathways are designed to make exploration productive instead of overwhelming.
